31 years ago today, October 25th,
God truly blessed me
and gave me a new baby sister!
I know, for some of you it is a shock that I am actually 8 years older than her, with me and my youthful looks and all, but I must admit that it is true!
At eight I got my very own 'live' baby doll to dress up,
teach dances to, and to love on!
And I have to mention, since its my sister's favorite story, that my brother dropped a brick on my head the day they brought her home from the hospital (dont' ask what we were doing ~
who knew you couldn't built a tree house with bricks) You know, that could have something to do with my lack of memory!
She will also tell you that I did mean things to her, like hold a lit candle to her nose and tell her to smell it or tell her to touch a hot curling iron or things like that, but since I personally remember none of it, I am sure it is all just those made up little sister tales, you know, trying to tell on big sister!!!
I'm sure I would have NEVER done any of that!
However, she will probably never tell you that at 8 she yelled at me, "Get my DAMN crutches out of the back of the truck" when it started to rain or that she told her best friend Rebecca that I was really mean and would bite so she spent the first 9 years of her life avoiding me!
Oh, it has been a fun time!
I can't believe we are all grown up and have children of our own!
I have enjoyed, so much . . .
watching her grow up
watching her dance, and be a Tiger Doll
all of her many college activities
standing beside her as she married her childhood sweetheart
and watching her become a mommy to two of the three cutest boys in the world! (my T being the other)
We always have so much fun
and there is NEVER a dull moment when we're together!
and there is NEVER a dull moment when we're together!
She can ALWAYS find something to laugh about!
I am PROUD to call her my sister and my friend!
She is an amazing person!
